Hello,
I am a Senior Academic Innovation Specialist in the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB). I hold a Doctorate in Educational Technology from Boise State University, a Master’s in Distance Education and E-Learning from the University of Maryland University College, and a Bachelor’s in Marketing from Towson University.
Before joining UMB, I led learning technology initiatives as Director at the College of Southern Maryland and served as Assistant Director of e-Learning at Howard Community College. Over the years, I have worked both on-campus and remotely as an adjunct faculty member and instructional designer, delivering courses and workshops in qualitative research, online teaching, instructional design, and technology-mediated communication.
My research focuses on communication, community, and closeness in online and blended learning environments, with a special emphasis on the online teacher–student relationship. This portfolio showcases my scholarship, research endeavors (including opportunities to participate in ongoing studies), and practitioner-focused artifacts, all designed to advance our understanding and practice of innovative teaching and learning.
Thank you for taking the time to visit. I invite you to explore the sections: Research, Artifacts, Publications, and CV to learn more about my professional journey and ongoing projects.
